Update of Olympia Charger 2013 Schedule

Here is a quick update of our testing and racing dates with the Dodge Charger and the Chrysler Viper for the 2013 season.

Oly Express at 24 Hours of Le Mans 1976

Now that our racecar is undergoing restoration and getting a fresh Olympia Beer livery, I feel that the time is right to post some pictures from 1976, when the orignal was there with Doug and Hershel McGriff.

Here is the schedule of where you can come to see us racing next year. As in 2012, all three Team Oly Express MoPars will see track action. We do not know exactly which Mopar we'll be racing where, but the dates are all set!

The Future Looks Bright for Olympia Dodge Charger

Olympia Dodge Charger 1974 is such a crowd pleaser in many Le Mans Classic competitions. The car, which is driven by members of the Oly Express team, participated only six times since 1976 but was already a car to watch out for whenever joining France's most prestigious vintage race. It recorded its best time of 5.31 and a top speed of just 235 km/h, all in a 24-hour race. With the way the car concluded last year’s contest, it appears that it will be looking at higher finishes in the coming years. Oly Express and its Olympia Dodge Charger are off to better racing seasons. Slowly but surely, they will be crawling their way to the top. However, they still have a bunch of work to do. People behind Olympia Dodge Charger should do all the necessary work to keep their car in top form. One is to strike lucrative sponsorship deals. Right now, they have Motul, Vulcanet, and AmmaS to help them with maintenance. But what about teaming up with Bwin Party Digital Entertainment for better financial backing? This company, which is known for gaming sites like Partypoker.fr/, is not new to the racing scene. It is one of the main sponsors of the MotoGP. They are also known to support big time sports firms, one of which is La Liga’s Real Madrid. Bwin is also the company behind the World Poker Tour. Where many racing drivers have qualified for the WPT by playing on tournaments that Partypoker holds. Well, Dodge Charger is such a beautiful car, isn't it? If it makes headlines in this year’s Le Mans Classic, its popularity will surely rise. Oly Express Dodge Charger taillights

NASCAR racecars don't have taillights, right? While that is true on the Grand National and Winston Cup circuit, there where some exceptions, like when the Olympia Beer Dodge Charger and the Truxmore Ford Torino raced at Le Mans in 1976. For now, our Charger has some trailer lights integrated in its bumper.
