Getting ready to go in the pit area

Kevin_and_dick_pierson_le_mans_2006Now that the team has everything laid out and ready to go to pit wall, we start hauling everything out. Everything has a place in the pit area, the tool box in the center, one compressed air bottle hooked up to a hose and tire gun on each side of the tool box, with enough air hose to go one complete circle around the car.

Tires all stacked, aired properly and marked as to which corner of the car they go, LF, RF, LR, RR and marked as sets 1,2,3 etc. Gas cans and overflow can placed at the end of the pit area, near the fuel filler end of the car once it stops in the pit during the stop. It is important that everything be laid our properly, all air hoses are coiled up so they don’t become a tripping hazard during a quick pit stop, all tools at the ready. We’re ready to go.
