We took the opportunity to join the FIA GT3 testing day at Spa for a shakedown of our Charger prior to Le Mans Classic. Spa Francorchamps is not as fast as Le Mans, but offers good possibilities to check many things that happen at high speeds.
Sharing the track with the GT3 cars, which are by the way faster than Le Mans GT2 racers because they have bigger restrictors, was rather fun and comparable to what we see in CER racing with the prototypes. We were with them in terms of speed on the straights, but they outbraked and outcornered the Charger evidently. Nevertheless our pace was good, as a couple of Ferrari 275GTB were nothing more than moving chicanes for our Dodge. So all systems work great, a few little things have to be fine tuned and then it will be off to Le Mans! See you at Le Mans Classic in two weeks from now!
