Dick Pierson on KOMO TV News

Our teammember and Oly Express racecar driver Dick Pierson was interviewed by Seattle's local KOMO TV Channel. KOMO also interviewed Don Kitch of Team Seattle, who'll be with us at the Classic to prepare him and his drivers for the Le Mans 24 Hours in 2009. Asides from this being nice TV coverage of the re-brewed Oly Express, the human stories that KOMO outlined in the interview are well worth being seen and Dick had some practice for the coming TV interviews at Le Mans Classic in July!

One of Germany's top ranking car nutt blogs, Motoblog, features a great story about our Olympia Charger. As you can see here, the guys at Motoblog picked the ignition procedure from Reims, where some of the spectators must have tought that a war erupted when the HEMI roared to life! I recently found this little article on our Charger at French Passions Mécaniques. As you can see by the emoticon next to the picture in the article, they think we are nuts to run with Lolas and M1s in our Dodge! Well, I'll take that as a compliment.

Hemmings, the worlds premier collector car publication features our Oly Express website in their August 8, 2007 weekly newsletter. Car Crazy Le Mans Classic Show on Aug.13

Car Crazy has produced a 30 minute show about Le Mans Classic 2006. It will be aired August 13,2007 on Speed Channel. Throught this link, you can see the TV schedule. While Le Mans Classic 2008 is now less than a year away, this might be the right show to watch to keep you waiting. Another great Nürburgring Race Video

This video was done by MPZ and is featured on YouTube. While it is "only" filmed from the grandstands, its quality is quite impressive. Check out the Dodge as it appears three times on this almost 9 minute long film. See how the big Mopar does battle with a 427 Vette and a 911 RSR!

Don Cann did once more a phantastic job writing about our Charger. This time, HOT ROD Magazine features the story about the re-brewed NASCAR racer in their August 2007 issue. HOT ROD was and is our reference for many reasons. Reading its great features taught us the way to turn wrenches on a V8 and even made our english improve in school! In its episode titled "Car Guys Never Give Up", Barry Meguiar's Car Crazy features our Dodge Charger, along with two other short interviews from Le Mans Classic 2006. The show was aired in early June on Speed Channel. For those who missed it on Speed, check the Car Crazy website for on-demand video.

Auto Bild Blog features Oly Express Charger

Germany's biggest car magazine features our Charger in their excellent Auto Bild Blog. Prior to the coming CER race at the Nürburgring, the fans in Deutschland get an idea of the Dodge's HEMI thunder that will resound in the Eifel region. If you want to see and hear it live, the Nürburgring will be the place to be on June 29 and 30.

Oly Express at Techno Classica Show

The Oly Express Charger is now at the Essen Techno Classica, Europes biggest vintage car show. The fans, of which more than 350.000 are expected, get a chance to see the Dodge at the MOTORAVER booth next to an all aluminium 1934 Austin. Vintage Motorsports on Oly Express 2007

With the new season just about to start, we have the pleasure to read in the media about our coming activities. Don Cann will be with us at the Monza race, from April 12 to April 15, for more great reporting on the event.

Le Mans Racing on Oly Express Charger

The excellent french magazine Le Mans Racing has a six page feature on Le Mans Classic 2006 in its October/November 2006 issue. Featuring reports about endurance racing from around the World, Le Mans Racing covered the Classic extensively. Next to the photo of our Charger, editor George Helmet writes that "this time, the NASCAR Dodge did see the checkered flag".

We keep seing great stories on our Charger at Le Mans Classic. Just what we love to read at our coffee break, being back from the summer holidays! LORE Magazine, a high class real estate publication from the USA, features a three page article on our effort. Focusing on driver Dick Pierson, a realtor by trade, the story, illustrated by Rich Truesdells photography, is written in a dynamic style by editor Will Randolph (pictured below with Robin Donovan at our after race party).

The excellent photography and writing by Rich Truesdell made a great article in english language of our Le Mans experience is now published in Britains Classic American.

Members of British forum Overclockers already discuss the article! Great to read that our Charger was the crowd favorite!

Classic&Sports Car on Le Mans Classic 06

This September issue of Britains Classic Car mag features two pages on Le Mans Classic. Our Charger is pictured and gets some nice comments. The author states that the "Dodge Charger rumbled impressively" and was a "firm favourite with spectators", which as a "Yankee leviathan dwarfed its rivals"!

More Le Mans Classic 2006 on french TV

While most media coverage of Le Mans Classic 2006 is yet to come, here is a little video that was aired on french national TV channel TF1. Not as big as the show from Motors TV, but something to watch at coffee break ! You can catch a glimpse of the Oly Express in the pits at the beginning of the show.

Mopar Muscle UK mag features Oly Express

The british Mopar Club magazine "Connected" features the story about our Charger in their latest issue. You can download (12 Mo) it here! Asides from the Charger story, there is a lot to read about vintage Mopars, like the 1965 Chrysler 300L road test and a more subbtle 01 Charger, in that well done webzine.

Motors TV features Oly Express at LMC06

Right after covering the 24 hours in mid-June, Motors TV was of course also there to cover Le Mans Classic. You can see the show on cable or via the web. The Oly Express Dodge Charger has a solid part in the 50 minutes show, which brings Le Mans Classic atmosphere to your living room!

Team Olympia reads NITRO magazine

During our testing at PIR, team member Randy Knighton checked out NITRO magazine. Since 2003, when we started our project to re-create the Oly Epxress and to bring it back to Le Mans, NITRO has been a very motivating supporter. NITRO will feature a total of three full color reports on our car and team.

Worldwide media cover Olympia Charger

Rich Truesdell and Davey Johnson both met us at Portland International Raceway to cover our Charger. Rich will provide both writing and photography to some of the best american and european car magazines, while Davey will feature the story in Jalopnik, one of the worldwide top three car-websites. TV coverage is also to come, since french channel FR3 will follow our progress during testing in France in the coming month, as well as cover Le Mans Classic extensively. Another french channel has also signaled strong interest to us. American TV will be at Le Mans Classic and there is no doubt that they will also rush to cover our unsual entry.

It is great to note that media interest for our project keeps building up. This media recognition is a great morale booster to our team and brings many returns to our sponsors. By the way, there is still one spot left on our team shirts!

Chromjuwelen features our Charger

The German Weblog Chromjuwelen (chrome jewels), a publication related to the gigantic AUTO BILD, features our project and its historical backgrounds. Chromjuwelen chief editor and car culture expert Ralf Becker intends to cover it also during our racing at Le Mans. We love to see that the Olympia Charger is gaining more and more international media interest. Now we just have to figure out how to serve a cool OLYMPIA to the fans in Europe!

Olympia Charger featured in NITRO

After the Olympian newspaper, french NITRO magazine is the second printed media to report on our project and the historical backgrounds of the Olympia Charger. NITRO features a full color six page story in their current february/march 2006 issue! A sidebar at the end of the story describes our joint American-French effort of rebuilding the car for Le Mans Classic. NITRO brings once more a refreshing and surprising story to francophonic readers.
