Here is a neat little video from GT Legends that shows the Oly Express (not the right year body style, but nicvely done) on the 1976 Le Mans track. That can give us some impressions on how Hershel and Doug McGriff did their qualifying back in the day!

1972 Dodge has its warm and dry pyjama

Our orange and grey 1972 Charger put on its pyjama for the winter time. Thanks to Softgarage, the mighty Mopar will be protected until next season's kick-off. We will also use the Softgarage during trucking to and from the tracks.

1969 Oly Express Dodge Charger on GT Legends videogame

Karl-Heinz Roggendorf from Cologne, Germany, just sent us these great pictures of a 1969 Oly Charger that runs on GT Legends! The creator of this fine model even duplicated the white Le Mans Classic tents and the Le Mans grandstands from the 70s! While it is not the correct year, we know that a 1974 model is on its way. Just the right stuff to practice for Le Mans Classic 2010!

French Fan Olivier Vernez builds Oly Model

We are very happy to see that our fan community is growing constantly. Some, like Olivier Vernez, build great models of the Oly Express in its Le Mans configuration. Here you can see the model half finished. We will feature a complete series of photos once it is done. Way to go, Olivier!

Now on to NASCAR 30 years ago. Back in the days of NASCAR’s beginning Bill France Sr. had a vision, his vision was what you see on your television set now almost every weekend, a continued and renewed interest in auto racing. Not just an interest in NASCAR racing but all types of racing.

French Fan builds Olympia Charger Model

French fan Stephan Vallois bought one of the 1/43 scale kits of our Charger. He is doing the complete starting grid of the 1976 24 Hours of Le Mans, which also includes a few group 5 BMW 3.5 CSL. Congratulations to Stephan for this great job!

Oly Express makes cool Christmas present

For those still searching for an outstanding Christmas present and for who'd like to have a model of the most american Le Mans entry of the 70s, here is the 1/43 scale model of the Olympia Charger! We had a limited run of just 10 models made for team members and sponsors. Two fully assembled models and two to be assembled kits for are still available. 1/43 model of Le Mans Charger on Ebay

Thanks again to our avid reader and fan François Breton, we noticed this 1/43 scale model kit of the Charger on french Ebay. Built by italian company TURBO, this kit is part of a series of Le Mans car models made just after the race in 1976.

McGriff Charger Decals found!

While I was browsing Ebay in France, I stumbled upon this 1:43 scale set of decals. It is the exact livery of the McGriff's Le Mans Charger! Apparently a whole series of little models was made a while ago, using the Le Mans cars as a theme. You can even read the names of Herschel McGriff and Doug McGriff, as well as the little NASCAR International logos. What I need to find now is the model that goes with this set of decals. It says "realized by Cartograf Italia" and the brand seems to be "turbo". Do they still make these little 1:43 1972 Charger models ? All your modelling expert advice is welcome !
